I am having a hard time justifying the purchase of our netbooks. I almost never use mine unless I have to. All of the features that we get with it I already use elsewhere. For example, the internet is something that I already have on my phone. I also already have a laptop which I do most of my work on. I understand the fact that we are supposed to be learning about MLD, but I think most of us already understand how to use them. We live in a technology crazed world, and our generation is at the heart of new ways of learning.
I totally agree because it was a lot of money for a short period of time that we actually have them and I don't like the fact that the anti-virus software expired and the only way to renew it is by purchasing it and I don't like that the Microsoft word expires after a certain number of days of use. I mean it was not a worthwhile investment since I already have a laptop and a cellphone with 3G.
ReplyDeleteI also am having trouble justifying the purchase of our netbooks. I was frustrated when the Microsoft word expired as well. I did not know this was going to happen and I was stuck for a few days with no computer because my lap top was at home. I like the fact that I could use the 3G while in the car going on a trip. I was able to do work while I was traveling which I have never been able to do it before. I think it was a little expensive on top of all our other books and classes that we have to pay for.
